Club Celebrates Valentine’s Day
Club celebrates Valentine’s Day
Models sashaying on the ramp at the Country Clubs Valentine’s Day celebration.
THE COUNTRY Club International did it again on Valentine’s Day with plenty of fun, glamour, music, and dance.
The evening witnessed a colourful fashion show by the talented choreographer, Imran Khan. There were seven sequences, set to music, with some of the City’s top models sashaying down the ramp, wearing the latest outfits created by the talented young designer from Hyderabad, Mahanoor Khan. Ms. Khan is well known in the haute couture circle, and has 10 years of experiences in fashion designing. The fact that ordinary mortals can wear many of her outfits is a tribute to her. Shimmering fabrics and clinging lines were emphasised in the outfits displayed on the ramp.
Mr. Imran Khan has done over 400 shows in the country and abroad. His notable shows overseas have been in Dubai, Doha, and Muscat in the Middle East. He has turned out many well-known models over the past 15 years from his modelling school. One of them won the Gladrags competition, considered a benchmark in the profession. Another model, who belongs to Mr. Khan’s professional team, was a semi finalist in last year’s Gladrags Manhunt competition.
A highlight of the evening was a scintillating show by Inertia, a highly innovative dance group of the City, which has performed all over South India. Inertia has been presenting stage shows for over a decade. The group of young dancers were more than energetic as they rocked the stage with spectacular dance numbers set to the music of Bollywood hits from A.R.Rahman.
It was Valentines Day, remember? And all the lovers at the club were trying to show off their dance skills in that romantic atmosphere. The mind-blowing music and the colourfully lit garden added to the mood. More than 3,000 people gathered, and DJ Akshay from Mysore and DJ Prakash Savio kept the console hot and the dancing shoes tapping till late in the night. The Country Club International is planning to open two more clubs around Bangalore. The one in the Gulf should be a reality soon.
